Who We Are

Stacks Image 1704
OM Entertainment's origins can be tracked back to the year 2000, where Chris, entering a broadcasting class, started creating video projects under the moniker "Old Man Entertainment" based on some video skits he and his friends did earlier in high school in which Chris played a feral, senile old man who went around terrorizing teenagers. He later went on to recreate the MGM lion style pose his old man would make when hissing at the camera in a 3d modeling program called Poser, taking a screen cap of it, vectoring it, and finally turning it into the low rez gif you see here...

A few years later, upon getting more serious about wanting to create his own production company, Chris redesigned the logo based on the very limited photoshop skills he had learned. going from Old Man to OM, his logo reflected it's industry be the use of the sprocket holes used in film reels, along the side of the O, with an M reflecting his birth month. Thus was born the icon that we know today.

Christopher Eden

Early motivation to make films were simple. Chris' head was bursting with ideas and cinema brought him alive in a way that he could rarely fully articulate. He was drawn to and driven by the need to create for the sake of creation. That expression has taken many forms, starting at an early age with acting and making things, his first work in high school snagging an Eubie Jr. award, along with professional acting at renaissance festivals, culminating with his dream role: Robin of Locksley. First attempting to take a more responsible career path, he tried a Computer Science degree but soon left. Eventually going to Full Sail University to get his B.S. in Film, where he met likeminded individuals who have gone on to be lifetime friends, as well as garnering attention in the Advanced Lighting class where he received a Course Director's Award. Chris is driven by particular story lines and aesthetics, with a great love for fantasy, and scifi - especially cyberpunk and post-apoc.
During his years in and out of the industry, he found that finding an in was not always easy, and connections with industry professionals were often fleeting and shallow. From this was born the desire to create an environment that was nurturing to artists that had no choice but to create, who were driven by their artistic needs, in a capitalistic society where money is what allowed you the type to pursue such things. As a father with an artistic child, this became even more important. Thus, the core mission of OM Entertainment, to sustain itself in such that it can hire and give a space for other artists to come together and be able to create, while maintaining a core morality of not just fair, but good treatments of those they employ, and staying true to the art of storytelling, not just a blind search of cash cows, as is so common in the industry at large.

Michelob Fedusenko

Not only fellow alumni, but was also side by side through the film degree with Chris, he brought a sometimes quiet, sometimes verbose, contemplative and almost philosophical perspective that made you step back and example the world from a different angle. Michelob is a force of nature as a compatriot, with a kind of aggressive care and encouragement that brokers no room for self-doubt. He is protective for those he care about; ready to bear sword and shield to the last drop when others are on their knees - a paladin of friendship.
Everything he create is in part a hope to share the Awe and Wonder that he has found in the universe. Thats the reason he got into film. That's why story telling matters to him. He get excited when he is wrong because that means there is just that much more to discover. Stories are an expression of the struggles we face, and in sharing those stories we have an opportunity to change the lives of others. Jurassic Park was the beginning of that for him and evolved into designing and making things to improve his life. he shares those things because he knows he is not unique. It's that final thought that helps him push forward when he doesn't have anyone else to share with. It isn't that there isn't someone, but rather that he hasn't found them yet. The path is taken even when the destination is unknown because it leads to a connectedness to people who get it even when it doesn't seem so.
